E's and Shell Sizes

I got some beautiful shells from Naples that I'm very pleased with. However, some seem rather large for my E's. What is the biggest shell you've seen your E wear? For that matter, how big do E's really get? I've heard golf ball sized...

I have 3 E's that have now outgrown all the previously modified shells I was given for them. They are in at least 1" opening turbos and babylon shells atm.

Mine are all in 1" shells except for the littlest one. I have some shells that are closer to 2", so I'm not sure if they'll even get big to use them.

My PPs change shells with fairly larger openings once they grow. But my Es still seem to chose shells too small for them for their next upgrade, its strange
