HCA: Hermit Crab Association

This was not listed under the preferred shell guide. But will PP's wear Turbo intercostalis? Richard's has these but I want to know if PP's will put them on before I buy some.

In my experience, no. The larger ones are extremely heavy and the smaller ones have a funny spiral. There are much better options that are similar that crabs go crazy over, like Petholatus/Tapestry and Fluctuosus/Striped.

Thank you, wodesorel. I won't buy intercostalis. I have been eyeing spotted turbos though.

The spotted ones should be Tapestries with spots polished down to the white pearl layers. Those are perfect!

Yeah, my crab that's in the gold mouth is close to outgrowing it so I've started checking the preferred shell guide for a reference. The spotted turbos at Richard's are too small. I have an Etsy account so I will get the ones at Sea Shell Mart. They're a 1 inch opening so that's the size I need next.
