Shells In Natural Environment

I read somewhere online about turbo shells not being from carribean crabs' natural beaches. I was wondering what shells they use in the wild if turbo shells aren't in their homes naturally.

Magpie (pica) shells are commonly worn by PP's in the wild.
Turbos are lighter and have a better shape overall so PP's prefer them to pretty much any other shell offered. Green, tapestry, and fluctuosos are the most popular.

Pica for sure, as they are the largest growing species of appropriate snail in their native range.
Apple murex are native and common for mid-range.
Candy striped tree snails, and several native species of other land snail are also very popular with younger crabs.
It also depends on the location and which snails are found there.

This is interesting, thank you two. I'd prefer "luxury" if I was given the opportunity as well, so I understand why they love turbos, haha
