HCA: Hermit Crab Association

A friend got me this brown turbo, but I misjudged the size so it's abit too big for Odin, he's a large, slightly leaning towards XL, but this is still a super pretty and pretty growth shell!

I have a couple of shells like that - they are beautiful but my crabs don't use them. Cher was in one for a short time but changed out rather quickly. Sonny would never get in one.

Might be because they're slightly on the heavy side, they're african turbos I think so they're more heavier then what some crabs like. Odin is currently in a Pink Murex atm, I have some that are slighter bigger then the one he's in right now so it'll suffice.

The opening is wide and the coil doesn’t extend out much, so it’s a little difficult for most crabs to wear. I’ve offered them before but my crabs were never interested.

I had purchased a couple also 2yrs ago then found out they don't wear them.

I also have a few, but nobody ever chooses to wear them. We had one member that had a strawberry crab wear it - and boy was that GORGEOUS!

I wish I had taken a picture when Cher was wearing it!

Lol my one crab goes crazy for those! It's too bad she grew out of all the ones I had.
