Stubborn Crabby
Is it normal for a crab to be stubborn to wanna stay in his old shell that is much too small for him? I bought him bigger shells in the summer (and they were really hard to find). I've had the shells in there for months and he hasn't even attempted to try one on. He just came up from another molt about a week ago, and I thought for sure he'd be ready to switch then. But nope. I just don't like seeing him squished in that tiny shell when he has better options. It makes me feel like I didn't get him the right shells, but I bought his favorite kind, just in larger sizes. I don't think he appreciates how much multiple $30 shells cost. LOL

Re: Stubborn Crabby
A lot of times hermit crabs modify their shells, and therefore they like them. Also, if you purchase incorrect shells, they won't like them. Here is the shell guide.
