HCA: Hermit Crab Association

I just spent $30 on 2 shells for my son's hermit crabs... Those dumpster hermit crabs are growing like weeds...

I say "dumpster" hermit crabs because... well... *WARNING: SAD STORY AHEAD* About 2 years ago my husband was at work when he saw someone sneaking around the back of the building. The guy dumped a critter keeper with 2 hermit crabs in it in the dumpster. My husband fished out the critter keeper and surprised everyone when he got home. And thus began our hermit crab journey... Now those dumpster crabs have a 20g paradise.

Aw, you guys are angels for rescuing those poor crabbies!
I always wonder why people throw animals away like that. I don't condone abandoning animals, but at least they could leave them in front of a rescue/shelter or pet store where someone will come by and care for them.
I hope the critters like their new fancy pants!
