Shells from an arts and crafts store?

I bought some shells from my local arts and crafts store and I was wondering if I could let my hermies have them to change into. They are pearlized so I don't know if that makes a difference!! Please help!

I bought some from a craft store too, just make sure you rinse them out and then boil them for 5 minutes and then you can give them to your crabs.

I don't know exactly what you mean by pearlized but if you mean the inside of the shell looks pearly, that's good for PP's. They prefer the ones with the mother-of-pearl coating inside. The craft store is where I get my shells,too. Sometimes they have a really good selection for real cheap. If they're packaged in those little wicker bowls with plastic-wrap on it you're not able to see all of them so really look hard and make sure they don't have holes in them.
