HCA: Hermit Crab Association

Can anyone else HEAR their crab coming out of their shell? I recently rescued a new PP, and I can her it when he starts to come out of his shell. He has on the same shell that he had when I got him, even though I have several choices in there for him, so I'm thinking maybe it's the shell. I don't know. I've owned many crabs and not once have I been able to really HEAR them come out of their shells.

It's probably just its exoskeleton rubbing against the inside of the shell. I don't hear mine, but as you said, it may be the shell.

Sand stuck to the legs. All you hear is sandpaper grinding on marble when I walk past the E tank. ><
