New yummies

Post by Rawrgeous » Sat Jul 30, 2016 11:44 pm

Was at Wal-Mart shopping for groceries and picked up some crab yummies. :) It's my first time buying plain hemp seeds, and surprisingly they only cost 1.50 so I figured I'd give them a go. They are supposed to be an excellent protein sorce. The coconut sugar I know they are obsessed with, and this bag will last forever! I got the very last one. I'm also really interested in seeing how the Seaweed goes. :) I'll update later.

I'm very interested in hearing how they liked these products so keep us posted. To be honest, I've never thought about checking the Walmart food aisles for crabbie items but spend way too much time peering at the shelves and in the natural foods bins at Sprouts  !
PPs are Big Enzo, Charles Paris and Mr Pinch
On the Big Beach in the Sky: Murray, Gino, Oscar, Gordon, Ignatz, Harry and King Felix the Pale
Also Mom to Imogene the Syrian Hamster

They ate all of the coconut nectar, but they only get a sprinkle since its so sweet. The seaweed was drug from it's original placement, so I'm assuming that's a good sign...but I honestly can't tell if they ate on it or not because I ripped a tiny piece off for them, and the edges were already jagged. I'm actually considering using my food processor on a few sheets of it to make a powder, and see if they eat it better sprinkled on something yummy, like popcorn. There are quite a few hemp seeds missing, so they obviously enjoyed those. As far as Wal-Mart goes I don't really have a choice lol. Its drive an hour, shop online, or Wal-Mart. I got a tip off from wode about the nectar, and then I was curious about the hemp seeds and seaweed so I searched their site and found out if they carried what I needed, and what aisle to find in. So much better than dragging my whiny fiance around trying to find an item aimlessly.

Is the seaweed unsalted? The seaweed snacks. I buy for my son are roasted in corn, soybean or grape seed oil and salted, so I don't give them to my crabs.

Image Just roasted seaweed. :) thats why I use Wal-Mart's app, so I can read ingredients comfortably lol. I suppose it doesn't list what it's roasted with, but it doesn't have trans fat or fat to indicate added oils.
Edit: I thought I should add there is sodium content, but I believe it's the natural salinity from the ocean.

Yep, no salt as an ingredient and low sodium. I'm going to go check this out, thanks.
