I got my new crabs 3 days ago and just transported them into a 10 gallon tank yesterday. I don't have any specific crab food (waiting on Hermie's Kitchen samples!) at the moment, only the crappy pellets the souvenir store gave me. So I've just been feeding them whatever I could find that's safe. Right now they have a piece of watermelon, some cooked salmon, a peanut butter cluster, and uncooked rice in their dish. I also have a separate dish for crushed egg shells. Their water bowls are so far very clean.
I set up a few fake plants in their tank, and theres one that theyve been in all day/night not really moving. I'm sure they're just hiding or resting but being a first-time owner I can't help but be a little concerned.
Is this normal after you get a new crab? How can I get them to eat and drink?
Not eating or drinking??

They need time to destress. Leave them alone and allow them time to get used to their new environment.

They've been through a lot when you first get them, so they need time to recover. Offering quality food is important...even if they haven't regained their appetite, because you want their first meal to be epic! And they may eat on the sneaks (possibly at night) for a while too.
