Leaf party

Post by Crabymom » Mon Mar 20, 2017 7:30 pm

Ok, so today after I cleaned the crabbies water dishes I decided to put a new treat in for them. I had a large bag of dried oak and maple leaves and some from my burning bush. None had ever been sprayed so they were good for consumption. I crumbled them up and added a bit of dried hibiscus flowers too. Then I gave them some in the smallet dish that usually has the mineral treat and worm castings. Right now there is a party around the dish, all 5 of my crabbies are trying it. One is camped out on the dish. They usually only sit in the dish for the treat and castings. This must be a big hit. They only ever do this for sweet claw popcorn. I will have make sure they get some maybe once a week.

My guys love dry leaves. I was caught pulling the last of the old dry oak leaves off a tree in our garden. It sounds crazy but the ones "aged" on the branch have the best taste.
