Is cork oak (Quercus suber) safe?

So now that the weather's getting warmer and my crabs more active, I'm striving to switch up their crabitat for the sake of stimulation, and also to provide some new foods for them to try out. I went out and snapped a couple of young branches off a cork oak (Quercus suber) in the woods. I've read all about hermies' passion for oak leaves and bark, but I'm wondering if this particular variety is safe and/or good for them? Getting a hold of a common oak isn't so easy in my country, and the leaves do look wildly different when I Googled them...

Should I give it a try? Thanks in advance!

Any type of oak is fine

Yw! You can freeze it or bake it to get rid of bugs. Also make sure no pesticides or fertilizers were used on it.
