Lavender Bush

Hi I was wondering if I could put some lavender off of the bush I have in my yard in my crabitat. Is it poisonous?

Hmmmm...I don't see it on the safe or unsafe lists. I wouldn't use it just to be on the safe side unless an experienced crabber gives u the thumbs up.

So... Lavender was on the unsafe list for the longest time because it was assumed it would be harmful given the natural oils it contains. Then we heard from multiple longtime crabbers who had been offering it occasionally because they never thought to check the list first. Given that it doesn't seem to be deadly but because it never had a full food trial done, the decision was made to remove it from both lists until someone (willingly or unknowingly) does a proper food trial to make sure it is okay.

tl;dr we don't know yet.
