Is there a way to make non organic food safe?

Long story short my parents make it stressful trying to go out and get a better diet for them so is there a way I can just make non organic fruit and vegetables safe

Washing and peeling can be extremy helpful! Also check out the yearly Dirty Dozen and Clean Fifteen lists which are published by independent researchers - it lists which vegetables and fruits have been shown to have the most and the least pesticide and fertilizer residue for the year.
