my family has a large garden and i’m excited because my crabbies will get some good fresh food. however my town sprays for mosquitoes in my neighborhood every night from may-september. i know we eat the food washed but what about my crabs? i know you’re supposed to give them pesticide free but idk what to think.

Re: pesticides garden
Even Certified Organic produce still has residues, but I would definitely wash all produce thoroughly before offering.
Spraying for mosquitoes is largely ineffective, as has been demonstrated by hundreds of mass sprays (reducing standing water for their larvae is better). Do you know what they’re using for insecticide? That may help you decide how safe it is for both you and the crabs.

i dont know what they’re using but it has been effective in my town, it is very small and has had an impact on the bug problem around here. there is 2 rivers in my town and a lake so mosquitos are a huge problem
