Palmetto leaves

Are the leaves of a palmetto plant, which I think is technically a palm safe? I read somewhere milkweed is safe but assuming that is just the flower part.

Eh, I would say it's safe. I know fan palms are common botanicals in aquariums, and I've seen shrimp keepers use palms in their tanks. For me, that's as safe as anything - many freshwater shrimp species and furthermore, breeds are incredibly sensitive.
