Lady’s Thumb grows abundantly around New York, it is safe for humans to eat (leaves and seeds) and my family’s rabbits love to eat it. It’s very easy for me to forage from the backyard where there is no chance of chemicals. Do you think it is safe for my crabs? I don’t see it on any of the safe food or poisonous food lists.
I am also curious is cosmos flowers / petals are safe for crabs?

Can hermit crabs eat Lady’s Thumb?
Re: Can hermit crabs eat Lady’s Thumb?
I've foraged Lady’s Thumb for my rabbits too, and they seem to love it with no issues. I’d say it’s probably okay for your crabs as long as you’re sure it’s chemical-free. Just start with a small amount and watch how they handle it.
As for cosmos flowers, I haven’t had any trouble with them and they’re not on the toxic lists I’ve seen. Again, it’s a good idea to keep an eye on your crabs when you introduce new foods.
