bee products for the hermits

Post by Hermitsandplants » Thu Mar 20, 2025 10:11 am

so I used to have bees(the hive died over the winter) and the old bee box is covered in propolis, we have tons of extra honey, and we have lots of beeswax. bee pollen and honey is in the safe food list, but I could not find beeswax or propolis. I would think its safe, but I'm not sure.
the beeswax was melted down and is currently in the freezer
propolis is just kinda sitting there on the box

we treated the bees for mites in the spring before they died so maybe the products would be harmful to the crabs.

Beeswax and propolis can normally be offered but I would be wary of any mite treatments
