Whole Foods Exploration

Post by Mama Crabs » Thu Jun 02, 2011 2:04 pm

I went back to Whole Foods market where I found the bee pollen and decided to browse to see what crab food I could find. I have to share there is a lot of stuff there. Just the bulk section alone I as able to find the coconut that is just coconut (no sulfer dioxide), along with things like hemp seed, dried mangos and a tropical trail mix with a variety of nuts and fruits without the extra ingredients you so often find. I also loved the little containers that you can store the food in, much better than the plastic bags. I spent only $3.92 for the items in the photo!

I even found the organic cold press coconut oil I was trying to find for $7.99 enough to last a life time!

I came across others things like this section of dehydrated fruits and vegs. A little more expensive, but will last you forever!

Here is a photo of that:

There is a lot of cool stuff, if you have a Whole foods, you may want to check it out, I’m going to make another trip after reviewing Kilimanjaro’s Nutrition guide again.

Normally I go to whole foods for me! It never occurred to me to look at the bulk foods section, when i'm there I don't think i even go down that aisle. Thank you Mama Crabs!

Yes, the product above also had a bag of dehydrated veggies. If you get it, let me know how the crabs like it!

That's great!! I have store close to me called Sprouts which is a lot like Whole Foods. I got rasberry leaf in bulk there and my crabs love it! :)

Looks like the closest one to me is an hour and a half away. :( Ah well, I was thinking about checking out the Amish market again anyway. Probably find some good stuff there. :D

Also by the vitamins and supplements they sell spirulina powder. They have an aisle of spices and things in small bags and I got a ton of celery seeds! Such a great store, but it's within walking distance from my house- dangerous!

There is a Whole Foods up the road from my work, so that's where I have been going to buy some of my crab food. It's true; there is so much there! It's nice because you can find things in their all natural state
