blood worms
blood worms
I received a container of bloodworms with the new crabbies I adopted. I am new at this and have never fed these yet, do you feed them dry??

Re: blood worms
I wouldn't wet them down - they will start rotting and smelling very quickly! The dry will last for a few days in the tank and will give them time to eat.
It's been hit or miss with bloodworms for my PPs - some days one or two of the crabs (mainly Hannibal) will sit in the dish and finish off everything, while other days it won't get touched.

Re: blood worms
Ya, I give the dried shrimp dry also, along with dried crickets and mealworms that you give reptiles.

Re: blood worms
My crabs eat about a tablespoon of bloodworms per day! As soon as I put them in, they come out & start chowing down..rarely are there any left the next day.
Re: blood worms
You are so right! I put them in about an hour ago and superman crawled in and cleaned up almost all himself, had to add more for the others....thanks!

Re: blood worms
Mine come frozen and look extremely disgusting...so I thought the crabs would love them, but they never seem to touch them. Maybe the dried blood worms will get a better reception.
