Tonight is fish flakes and coconut shavings with honey drizzled on top! Mmm!
For my one hermit crab who came up today.. I don't know if he is going to molt! :dunno:

They have the usual mix in there, but tonight i decided to empty a tea bag into their wet dish of chamomile mint, and it sounds like they are rushing after it but we shall see.

Made some cookies type things for the crabs


Ingredients:

Natural Peanut Butter (unsalted, unsweetened)
Liquid Honey (go for local honey)
Rolled Oats
Black or Brown Rice (not instant)
Dried Mysis Shrimp OR Dried Krill
Dried Bloodworms
Grind up the rice and oats in a food processor. Chop up the mysis shrimp and mix all the dry ingredients together. Spoon in the peanut butter and honey mix it up a little with a spoon. Dump the mixture onto a clean cutting board and mix it together with your hands until it turns into a sort of dough like thing and then roll it into a log. Cut it with a butter knife into little cookies, place in a plastic bag and pop in the freezer until hard.

They really loved the one I gave to them.
Also in the freezer I expected them to harden but after thawing they were still pretty soft so just put them in the freezer to store.

this is going to look horrible after the previous post which was beautiful but I decided to stick a corn flower tortilla chip in there for the night and wow. It was so popular it made it in 5 different places in the tank by the end of the night. I have never put junk food in for them and don't plan to often but they certainly loved the treat.

I just put a Q-tip in one of the holes of their cholla wood, so now the part with food on it is hanging over the food bowl. It is peanut butter dipped in coconut oil with honey drizzled on it. It should be a nice meal for them. And in the food bowl, there are coconut shavings. Going to give them left over kiwi, black berries, mangoes, and strawberries in a day or two. And I am going to grow chia seeds for them! So fun.

Today it is crab made egg salad which has a hard boiled egg with the shell with some walnuts mixed in. Also some tomato, oatmeal and a just for crab made fruit sauce (going off of apple sauce) with pear, plums, and carrot.

Ground turkey, apples, carrots, barley, hibiscus flowers and powered coral calcium.
Tomorrow I plan on giving them Pumpkin, Spinach and The Hermit Crab Garden's Shrimp N' Chipped Cookies mix.

Last night they had 4 dishes.....
1- Wild oak & Maples leaves & Mysis shrimp
2- Cheerios.... big hit!!
3- Earthworm casting & Almonds... big hit!!

Today....Oat meal, 2 blueberries, some small shrimp and a couple drops of honey....yummy.

In dish one I had raw salmon, some river shrimp and a few saskatoon berries (all were frozen and defrosted in the tank) - the shrimp were a hit

Dish two has assorted veggies (carrots, celery, bell peppers, and cucumbers)

My crabs are rebels who never eat their vegetables. It doesn't seem to matter what I've put in there - aside from corn - they want nothing to do with it!

Tonight was bits of mandarin orange, some applesauce and raw salmon.

mine are the exact opposite, they love their fruits and veggies, but tonight its tomaters with crushed sea crab exo on top, they havnt touched it one bit lol
