Shredded Coconut - Bulk Barn

I picked up a sample pack of shredded coconut from a Hermit Crab food supplier here in Ontario.
Honestly, I didn't expect it to be such a hit. Every time I put the stuff out in the terrarium, it would be gone the next morning.

Because of its popularity, I'd like to pick up some locally.
I went to the Bulk Barn to pick up a bunch of it because they sell it in bulk, but I stopped when I read the ingredients:
Coconut, sodium metabisulphite. Contains sulphites.

Is this hermit crab safe?

There is shredded coconut out there that is 100% coconut with no preservatives, but it's harder to find. That is hermit crab safe. I've never used anything with any additives before for the hermits. (Actually, I also hate the stuff with additives because it tastes horrible. The natural stuff is so good I can down a bag like potato chips!)

My local health food store will probably have some too.
Hopefully, it's without the preservatives!

I've been seeing Wild Oats organic coconut at Walmart. The only ingredient is coconut.
