glacier44 wrote: Nice score on the coffee grinder! I have a Mortar and Pestel, and a coffee grinder for dry stuff and a mini food processor (only holds two cups MAX) for wet. I also make batches of stuff, then put it in mini ice cube trays to freeze then package and label to use throughout the year. The salmon from last night was scraps from our recent fishing trip. I cut up the scraps to "serving" size then freeze spread out on a cookie sheet then bag them up. WE do a lot of fishing in the summer to stock out freezer for winter and the crabs get LOTS of tidbits from our bounty ;)
Discovered the grinder was a bust Image It wouldn't grind anything...think the motor was just past its prime lol But I put my mortar and pestle to work and mashed up all sorts of goodies. I've shied away from fresh fruit the last week or so because my apartment was overrun with fruit flies Image so tonight it's poop, some bugs and other random stuff + egg shell and white and then some overripe avocado that I figured somebody should eat.

Last night and the night before was clovers, daisies, live mealworms, blackberries, blackberry leaves, lilac leaves, and orange pepper. They LOVE the live mealies! And I thought the dried were a hit ;) They don't like the blackberries though, that's the third time I've offered them. Now I think I'm just wasting berries LOL.
Haven't decided what today's meal will be yet... Reading the thread for ideas!

Last night the fresh food was a bit of sardine and cooked green peas. Felix was all over the sardine but flung the peas far away! This morning, the peas were all but buried and the sardine remnants were scattered far and wide so either they all liked the offering and wanted to hide it for future dining or were trying to get rid of it  .

I'm trying some new stuff I got on eBay so tonight it's clover flowers, some leaves, cashews, pumpkin seeds, coconut shavings, a powdered strawberry/calcium treat, dried bugs and, of course lol, worm poop. Then a little dish of applesauce for dessert

Tonight it's Crabby Medley Delight from TheHappyHermitSupply on Etsy. Consists of powdered banana, cornmeal, egg shell, honey, whiting fish, spinach, sunflower seeds, and walnuts.Image

I also put a little ball of apple in there with some millet.
