Re: Dry mix recipe
Yep, dried cat and dog treats are good so long as it's 100% meat or just has like Vitamin A or E added as preservatives, also things for fish and reptiles if it's the same way. (For safety, avoid bloodworms - some people are deathly allergic.) Check in the fruit section of the grocery store for dried kids treats - Disney has organic fruit mixes of all things! If you have any place that sells Bob's Red Mill products, lots of goodies there, lots of organics. Any health food store often has some selection and if you're lucky bins of things where you get really small amounts.

Re: Dry mix recipe
Flukers Turtle Medley (mealworms, river shrimp, and crickets all freeze dried) - 40%-50% of mixture
Freeze dried shrimp alone for more smell - 10%
Organic Blue Corn Chips that contain sea salt - 10%
Coconut flakes (not the baking kind you see on candy snowballs, the organic kind that are big shaved flakes, usually found at health food stores) - 5%
FHR hermit crab treat (not the pellets, the fruit treat) or cuttlebone - 20%-30%
Mixed all together with a mortar and pestle.
