oh num... that souns so good. it makes me think that I should grow some edible flowers this summer.. this is what I just gave them - they all just came up and seem real hungry and in case they molted I wanted to really give them something good: all this stuff is organic and i checked w/the safe foods list:

steamed shrimp w/ shell & crushed walnut
(dried) cherries, blueberries, yellow raisins, papaya
(dried) red raspberry leaves, red clover flowers, red roses crumbled and mixed with honey
sliced fresh carrot -- fresh kiwi fruit -- sprinkles all with eggshell and kelp.

that sounded good to me!

theres still a big piece of fresh coconut in there that they are tossing around too. can't wait to get some new foods I (hopefully) ordered! yay worm poop! :P

haha edit: ones already on the dish 8)

Plain old shattered coconut meat, served as-is with the shell and dipped in the coconut juice prior to serving, to both my land hermit crabs and land crabs. :)

Red bell pepper, jicama, chicken, blueberries, strawberries, and worm castings. Of course as soon as I put it in there my jumbo, Leif, shoved it all out of the shell dish and dragged it all around. I always suspected it was him who was doing that every day, but today I caught him red-handed!
I've got a zoo in my house. I should charge admission.

My little sister made my crabs dinner tonight. :D She is so sweet! She go them:

Apple that she saved from lunch just for them (isn't she so nice?? :D)

Celery she snipped into tiny pieces for them

Bugs and Nuts from THHC (she remembered that we had some in the fridge)

Clover Honey (she looked all over the pantry for this and finally found it! :D)

I got some mounds of fresh alfalfa sprouts, mainly for the land crabs but I shared with the land hermits - surprisingly, the land crabs are ignoring it more than the land hermits.......I guess they are not too excited for these...oh well. :? :? :?

Rice is Nice
Cook organic brown rice in the microwave until very tender. Add puffed organic millet and flaxseed oil, microwave again for ONLY 5 seconds. Top with a powdered kibble (I used Color Surge from Crabotanicals, but any powdered kibble would work). Ta-da! :D
