Usually I rotate various "staples" that other members sell, and then on the side fresh or dried whatever I have on hand.

but last night was my first attempt at offering only what I made for them.

Coconut shrimp:

chopped shrimp tail
chopped broccoli
crushed eggshell
millet
dried baby shrimp
drizzle with coconut milk
sprinkle with dried coconut and pinch of red raspberry leaf

piece of popcorn on the side

They liked it! They liked it!

I’ve been trying to come up with some crab food/human food combo recipes and here’s the easiest...

Crab & Person Almond Apple Salad
Chop one apple into chunks, mix with 2 cups of lettuce (I use Earthbound Farms Mixed Baby Greens) and 2 tablespoons of almonds. Pull out 1-2 lettuce leaves, 1 apple chunk and an almond for the crab dish. You may want to chop everything into smaller pieces for the crabs.

Top the person salad with 1 tablespoon of Italian dressing, which gives you a pretty filling salad with only about 150 calories. For the crab salad dressing, try 1 teaspoon olive oil, a small pinch of sea salt and some red bell pepper.

The crab salad...

We were talking about baby food in another post so I thought I’d whip something up. This is Happy Baby Food Smarter Squash, Happy Baby Food Wiser Apple, fresh coconut chunks, flax seed, rice, honey and bee pollen. The crabs will like it but so will fruit flies so I won’t leave it in the tank long.
