I placed the cooked and uncooked on opposite sides of a flat dish in the middle of the tank. I laid out scraps of each in a distinctive way & took pictures, thinking I'd compare how much each had been disturbed if they both seemed to have been eaten.

The plate was never touched before removal of fish (due to gross stinkiness). Not even sand on the plate. The only conclusion I could draw was that crabs love to thwart human experimentation.

Edit - like GB, I don't think my guys have ever shown an interest in beef.
I fed mine whitefish raw and they went nuts over it, I had to play tug of war with my PPs so that they didn't take it away they still did though in the night and I never found any remains but there was no smell so I assume they finished it

They are all different and I love it!! It makes it so much more fun to see what they like :) Mine love raw shrimp, cooked beef (rare not well done), organic baby food, hard boiled eggs, boiled chicken , etc. They basically get a little bit of unseasoned whatever we r having for dinner. I also freeze lots of their food for the nights I don't have time to cook so they practically always have fresh food in their tat. I keep eggs shells in the fridge and put all of their fresh foods in there. If they are seeming to be a bit finicky, mine like to try new foods with organic raw honey drizzled on it Image
