tonight's dinner is hibiscus flower steamed in an ounce of water with honey, kelp powder and red raspberry leafs. I separated the hibiscus leaf from the tea it made and served up the tea in another dish.

I just received my order from sweetwatermarket.
(yeah organic unsulphered dried fruits and raw nuts!)

So in the crab tank tonight we are serving:

A dish of organic unsulphered dried fig (pre-sliced for easy access)- as soon as it went in the tank one of my very shy E's ran out and planted herself in the middle of the dish- she watched me the whole time she ate- but she really seemed to enjoy it.

And a buffet of :
ground organic raw pumpkin seeds, crushed oyster shell, daphnia, tubifex worms

the last couple of days i have been so busy i didn't post-
but i have created a few very nice recipes (only in the crabs point of view were they nice:lol: )

the one they enjoyed the most was:
a kibble of:

organic red quinoa
organic amaranth
organic oat groats
organic pearled barley (????- can't really remember the exact ingredient- it was pearled something)
and a pinch of organic wheat germ

-i know it is simple but i had 4 crabs in the food dish within 5 minutes (eating side -by- side. it was the cutest thing) :)

Tonight I have served 2 dishes:

Dish 1:
Boiled ground beef sprinkled with krill powder and sea salt.
Whole krill peices, and garnished with some canteloupe seeds (opened).

Dish 2:
Various dried and fresh herbs, including fresh picked cilantro. Also some dried rose petals.

Dish 3 = same as 1 but in ISO tank for newbies.

I think my figs are nearing ripeness too. Can't wait to try some.

Fischartiger Fruchtsalat

(or: Fishy Fruit Salad. Why? Because the Babel Fish Translator is really fun to use and sometimes things sound better in German.)

I left in a fruit salad type dish I'd made for the second night and added some bison meatballs tartare and the tip off a corn cob that had no kernels on it.

Bison is YUMMY!

In an attempt to find out what my little guys like tonight they will be eating:

Red pepper
Cucumber
Just a small bit of cherry tomato
and Carrot

Tomorrow I will be trying different sorts of fruit, probably apple, banana, cantaloupe and honeydew melon and if I have any left just a dab of peanut butter. I just got them so I have no idea what their tastes might be and the food from the store stinks so bad (at least to me it does) that I feel bad when I watch them eat it.
