Got some sushi for myself and decided the hermits needed a treat. Added some coconut shavings (this coconut shavibgd bag lasts thousands of years). I added some blood worms and a bit of dried kiwi :)

I give mine tons of variety every night. Tonight was:
Coconut
Thawed frozen mango (I have a big bag in the freezer)
Krill
Boiled shrimp
Mysis shrimp
Heirloom tomatoes
Mixed bell peppers
Cantaloupe
Purple eggplant
Dandelion leaves & stems
Colour Boost mix (homemade)
Fruits Nuts & Flowers mix (homemade)

Colour Boost Mix Recipe
Ingredients:
* dried strawberries
* dried blueberries
* dried black grapes
* purple lilac
* purple eggplant
* dried carrots
* dried red & orange bell pepper
* krill or mysis shrimp or both
* amaranth flower (great source of plant protein too)

Directions:
I didn't measure anything, but used an almost equal part of everything and ground everything up with the mortar & pestle as best as I could. Not everything wil grind finely and there will be flakes of blueberries, strawberries and others. That's fine. You don't need to refrigerate it but it will become lumpy. Break it up with a spoon and add a little bit with other foods. I offer this nightly.

Christmas dinner. :)

Fresh dish: Fresh parsley, chunk of carrot, and apple slice sprinkled with rolled oats and honey, with a bit of honey comb and pb on the side.
Dry dish: freeze dried krill, mealworms, and crickets. Walnuts and pecans. Some mixed dried fruits and some bee pollen.

Calcium sources always kept in the tank are crushed/broken shells, cuttlebone, and eggshells.
