Live mealies are a fave here!

Tried Chayote ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chayote ) for the first time, and it went over extremely well! First time I saw it for sale, so hopefully it won't be too hard to find in the future. :)

I've put together a nice little welcome-home dinner for the crabbies that are coming in next week. Really excited about making it and seeing them all happy about it.

I'll be serving:

Honey cuttle
live mealworms (one or two, not like a TON)
Spinnach
HCP Tropical Pinch
Brocoli
and HCP mineral supplement over ontop of it all. =)

Yumm!
Hope they like it. Haha.

Oh gosh, protien mix was such a success!!! I decided to do something different for the crabbies. I think every Sunday I'll be adding a new home-made mixture to the tank to see how they like it. They LOVE this new one. I made it a protien-based mixture, but it also has traces of calcium and such.

I mashed up a bunch of freeze-dried treats that I had such as:

Shrimp
Mealworms
Bloodworms
Seaweed

Mashed those up into a powder. Sprinkled in some organic earthworm castings and honey cuttle. Then finished mashing it all together in unison.

They LOVE it. Attacked the separate dish that I laid out for them quickly! Even their regular favorites like Tropical Pinch and such weren't as destroyed as this dish was!

So glad it was a success. =)

Fresh wild caught sockeye tails!! Cooked it plain because that's how I usually like it, so the crabs got some. :) For some reason, they won't usually eat sockeye raw. They like it cooked... :|

They are also getting a bowl full of HCP goodies to go with it, a slice of apple, banana, and some walnuts. :D

Tonight they they get a fresh crabby fruit salad with a little protein on the side.:)
It's got coconut (huge hit), pineapples, apple slices, goji berries, and mango topped with bee pollen and rose petals.

Tonight is the FIRST night the crabbies are trying some homemade popcorn. =) I broke out the popcorn maker since some friends were over for a movie night and decided to put a mini bowl in the crabitat for tonight. I like popcorn plain, so they got it plain as well. There was a little extra virigin olive oil added to help get it to pop and heat up correctly, obviously. But who doesn't like popcorn?

The rest is just some earthworm castings, HCP supplement, shrimp, live mealies (never a letdown!), PBJ mix from HCP, and I believe I've snuck in a bit of kelp cuttle tonight. =)

Can't wait to see if the popcorn was a success! Although, I think I scared Brink when putting the bowl in the tank. He was right there, and I didn't notice that he was there. =/ "Sorry Brink! Here's some popcorn, though!"

Tonight they get some green egg omelet and a little bit of fruit on the side. :)

The green egg is pretty easy to make. You just add spirulina powder to scrambled egg and blend it really good. I add in astaxanthin powder to make it healthy too.
Inside the omelet I put shrimp and anchovies for some more protein. :D

Edit: I forgot about the coconut that I added in there too. :) Whoops!

We were making meatballs and spagetti and I decided to make the crabbies a safe little dish for them. <3

I took some ground turkey, spinnach, egg, HCP mineral supplement (instead of salt, for their batch), and rolled them into tiny mini meatballs. Baked them fully and laid them on a bed of cooked rice pasta with some fresh slices of tomato. <3 A lovely italian dinner for my crabbies. And they LOVED it!
