Peanut Butter Problem

Post by JoeyCoenobita » Mon Nov 24, 2014 3:33 pm

Soooo, I know a lot of crab owners talk about how much their crabs like peanut butter. But, unfortunately for them, I am highly allergic to peanuts. As in, If i smell it, i could end up in the hospital. So I can't give the crabs peanut butter. But, I have this stuff called wowbutter, smells and tastes like peanut butter, and was wondering if it would be safe for crabs? the ingredients are: Non-GM canadian toasted soy, Non-GM soy oil, granulated cane sugar, monoglyceride (from palm oil) and sea salt. Anything dangerous there?

I think it would be ok as an occasional treat. They don't actually have to have peanut butter, it's just a treat that usually goes over well. There are plenty of other "treats" most crabs love just as much. Check out the safe food list.

I think it would work great as a treat but make sure you don't feed sugary foods too often
