HCA: Hermit Crab Association

Title says it all.

My crabs' favorite is isopods. I've seen them hunt them in the tank, but I recently decided to freeze some and put them in the food dish. They all came out and swarmed it, I've never seen anything like it

Flowers, leaves, krill, mealworms, chicken liver, honey, walnuts.

Edit to add eggs! Scrambled or boiled. Athelas (PP) loves them. Mallorn did too when he was alive. Also cilantro and watercress are usually big hits. Any kind of greens, fresh or dried too.

Apples!!

Prickly pear and rose petals will entice the Es up every time. Peanut butter is also a 'tat favorite.

Grapes are always a winner- however lately I have been trying to stay away from fresh fruit (stupid gnats) and I tried that Colorado critter company's kibble and also the popcorn mix from THCP, the flower power flavor- and both were a super hit. Little scraps of the kibble were left in the morning but almost all of it was gone. There was absolutely no trace of the popcorn mix. It was all devoured! I'm so happy when they eat like piggys! Then I know I'm doing something right!

Fresh all natural honey, chicken bones/bone marrow, stale croissants, shrimp, fruit and flower mix and peanut butter. He's such a kid -- all he wants is junk food!

Let's see ,my PPs go after these spinach&artichoke bites we home make,bones&marrow,freeze dried crickets,bloodworms,shrimp, egg shells,popcorn,blueberry blossom honey(local made honey),blueberry& apple muffins.i also make an apple butter they go after.i get tuna in pouches,so if I leave some out to dry(usually overnight) it's gone..they also like munching on dried maple leaves(&sleeping under them),&moss.

Pear Tree Leaves and Dried Meal Worms

Shrimp and chicken. Chicken is the biggest hit the crabitat has ever had!

Ground turkey browned in coconut oil. There were no traces left! Raw shrimp doesn't even come close to being devoured like that did.
