HCA: Hermit Crab Association

I plan on breaking in the new Bullet by making avocado hummus tomorrow (literally just rinsed canned chick peas and avocado), but had wanted to add some lime juice and cilantro to the end result for myself. Should I save some before adding them, or do you guys think they'd like it? Lime itself isn't on either list, but I thought I remembered reading somewhere here about them not really liking the stronger citrus types like lemon and lime?

From my understanding, both lemon and lime are ignored by the crabs. I don't think they're unsafe, I think they just won't eat them. I've never tried though, I'm just going by what I've seen mentioned here.

I thought that was what I'd read, but couldn't remember. I think I'll leave it out for their portion, don't want to waste a treat. Thanks!

I throw half limes ad lemons in for mine when I make citrus shakes. Some will pick at them, but it is nothing like the response an orange gets.
