Can they eat freeze dried chicken liver. I looked at the ingredients and that's all it list.

Well let's see if it works because I haven't really noticed Teal'C eating anything so I'm trying to find protein sources that might spike his interest. I don't want him to go cannibalistic on my purple punchers.

Have you tried frozen seafood? (Sorry if you've answered it elsewhere! )
I get a seafood medley bag at my local grocery store - it has mussels, clam, squid, octopus, an shrimp... all raw. I think it's put out by a company called anchor bay. I just defrost a bit before popping them in.

I know mine had no interest with beef or chicken, but the octopus I find all over the tat now.

Also, I know CrabMater swears by steaming meats to entice her crabs.

Hmm.... just trying to think up whatever I've read on here.

Oh! Maybe a bit of honey or pent butter on the protein would do it.

I've never tried frozen seafood. Only freeze dried shrimp really. I'm mostly worried about them dragging it off and me not being able to find it.

For protein sources, my guys' favorites are frozen shrimp, frozen clams, eggs, chicken, beef, dried anchovies, and sardines.

mine loooove red meats. i find they really really like a dog food (comes for cats too in case anyone has those pets) i feed that is all natural all organic meats, fruits and veggies. i have to get the dehydrated type (no freeze space hahahaha) which works great for the crabs since its so soft. its a 100% balanced meal for dogs/cats. all the sources are crab safe. so in a pinch i feed that with calcium powder and honey. at worse i change up the protein and all my crabs eat it.

Erhm... yes, well... that... miiiight happen. It is a problem that I am having, and do not look forward to dealing with in the summer.

But if it's any consolation, it seems to be a sign of appreciation.

My e's love the dehydrated shrimp crushed with a pestil & mortar the best. Next comes cricket, grasshoppers, egg, mealworms. Mine don't particularly care for fresh meats, frozen meats or cooked meats.

They did bury the fresh shrimp, stunk the entire room up, I will not cut that up ever again!! I will buy the largest shrimp possible instead of salvaging portions!

Wow. That must have been horrible. At least with large pieces it's harder to hide. I just have jimbo who digs really large holes and drops stuff in them. I am still missing a walnut.
