Read the ingredients. if unsure, post them here.

We will be able to determine whether they are safe or not. Most likely the water conditioner stuff is complete garbage, or its just water conditioner ("for fish") that in a (smaller) bottle with a crab on the front and charges you double the amount of a larger sized dechlorinator.
Also this may help:

It's honestly easier to go to a store that stocks reptile stuff & pick up some dried meal worms or a bug mix. That way you don't have to question what you're feeding them.
Also, in the fish section there is often a freezer with little blister packs of single-serving bloodworms (which I personally hate, but which my crebs love), mysis shrimp, tubifex worms, clam meat, and daphnia.
The fish section is your best friend for easy protein-y foods because most of the fish food is better quality than pellets sold for crabs. Just remember to check for preservatives.
Edit - oh, and little bottles of freeze-dried goodies too.

There is a lady on eBay who sells crab food, hugs for hermits, she sells them individually or in sets of like 6 8 12 and up. She has good stuff and she mails way faster than any other place I've gotten food from, and it's only 10 for I think 8 different foods, all made for hermits. I have had very bad experiences with the other place I ordered from, and recently tried a new person from etsy who had a very limited, very new selection and it took weeks to get that too. So I recommend trying hugs for hermits on eBay
