Safe Food: Meat

Post by CrabsterBecks » Wed Mar 07, 2018 9:36 pm

Hey! I have just recently rescued three baby PP hermies from horrible conditions and am quickly picking up all the info I need to know about crabs. :D I have downloaded and printed the "Safe Foods list", and I jsut have one quick question. Are there any other types of meat, raw or cooked, dired, etc. that I could feed them?

All of the above!

Keep in mind that proteins for humans are often cured or seasoned and may not be safe for hermits. If in doubt, just ask. :)

Make sure to check the ingredients for any added preservatives if you aren't using fresh fish. Most canned is safe but not all.

I am a little late to this thread, but...
Could I feed my crabs live superworms? Providing that I cut them up into bits first :)

They eat their own bodies when they molt, another crab would be the same thing!
