I've seen people grow Lima Beans in many different ways, so I'll give it a go and update.

Just a quick heads up. If you have a saltwater mix in your substrate the seeds will not grow.
You can sprinkle Chia seeds in the moss pit and let them grow there. Or start them growing in a plastic lid filled with wet coconut fiber outside the tank then once they sprout move the entire container into the tank.
I tried Chia seeds several times and my guys would just plow them over moving around. I never saw them actually eat one.

My guys love chia seeds. They never make it to sprouting!
