Feeding bowl

Is it safe to use paper plates as a feeding dish? I have one large seashell for feeding, but I just realized that I’m going to need another dish

I would avoid a paper plate. They may be bleached or dyed. A good choice is a peanut butter or mayo lid, or any type of large opening plastic lid. I use them a lot and they are free! If you happen to have any clam or oyster shells they work too. I did see that the Dollar Tree had plastic paint holders with six small compartments. They would be a cheap option too!

I use jar lids for feeding dishes too. They work great. The crabbies love the big lids where they can drag their little butts right onto the food to sit and eat lol.

Ok, just a follow-up question. I actually couldn't find any plastic lids except for a giant lid to a Nesquick chocolate powder thing that's still in use. I'm not sure, but if I cut off the top of a plastic bottle, would that work? Or just cut the bottle in half vertically and lay it on its side. My main worry here is if there's anything harmful in the plastic.

Generally any plastic used for food can be used as a food dish.
