Salt is not dangerous to hermit crabs, this food is considered safe.

Table salt is iodonized and of has anti-caking agents. Plain salt is just salt.

I never knew there was a difference. Does that mean there’s a thing that’s plain salt but not sea salt and that it’s safe for them to eat? How do you tell the difference?

Table salt refers to salt with iodine added. Humans need that extra iodine to stay healthy, since we no longer all live by the ocean and eat a ton of seafood.

Kosher salt is nothing but pure mined salt, no additives

Sea salt is dried sea water BUT it's not a complete mixture of all the salts and elements in seawater. They precipitate out at different rates and the salt flats are drained at certain times.

Look at the ingredients on the salt and see if anything bas been added.

It’s usually labelled. If the label isn’t clear you can just look at the ingredients list.
