I’m patiently waiting for the crabs food to be shipped & delivered from HermiesKitchen and I ran out of their old food just now so i’m feeding them some stuff from my kitchen. My parents made food earlier and I’m giving the crabs some corn, carrots and peas. I added some cut up sausage meat, a cut up tomato, some cracker crumbs and cake/bread crumbs and strawberry jam. I checked the safe food list but didn’t see anything about bread crumbs/cracker crumbs so is that ok to use? I may have overlooked it.

I might be concerned about spices that may be in the sausages.
I've given my crabs salt-free crackers in a pinch, but not sure if its recommended.

I also would refrain from sausage due to spices...
Bread crumbs could have seasoning in them - depending on what you use... I personally stay away from processed foods in general when it comes to my crabs.

Truly blessed to have incredible creatures, wonderful friends and my amazing family in my life!! I'm very thankful & grateful for all of them! www.thehealthyhermit.com

I don’t think crumbs would be unsafe, but whole foods are usually better than processed.
Sausages are often preserved with nitrates.
