Is it ok to feed my crabs a diet of just freeze dried / dried food? I also have moss pits, calcium dishes and leave litter. I was just wondering if it is necessary to feed them fresh produce and other fresh foods.

Re: Dried and Freeze-dried food vs. fresh food
I would guess I feed my crabs 95% dried food. They just aren't into fresh foods, unless it's eggs or lettuce/greens. They love scrambled eggs and hard-boiled egg yolks. They'll also pick at ground beef or turkey, but not much else. Just as long as they are getting their fruit, protein, and calcium in dry foods I would think it would be ok. If they enjoy fresh food, I'd def make an effort to give them some when possible. Just to keep them happy and from getting too crabby LOL.

Mine only like lettuce fresh and minced. Everything else they get is dried/freeze dried.
