Flickers turtle treats bag- yay or nay?

Post by Gleasoce » Sun Jun 06, 2021 11:24 pm

My hermies usually enjoy dried river shrimp and mealworms, but they’re usually purchased separately. I got this bag because it looked like a great deal, but it seems like they aren’t eating it at all. It’s been a month now and they still aren’t eating it! Is there anything in there they might be avoiding? Has anyone else had this problem?

I checked out the ingredients, and it's just the bugs, so all good there. Are you feeding the bugs whole? My crabbies like their dried mealworms and crickets chopped up. I run them through my small food processor just enough to get them into smaller bits. One time I chopped mealworms in my coffee bean grinder to make them into a powder. My hermits barely touched them (and mealworms are their fav food!). They went right back to scarfing them down when they were just chopped up a bit.

Also, maybe they like them separated and not mixed together. Crabs can be so picky lol!

Had to run mine through the spice grinder. I bought mine in the jar, but it's basically the same. They eat it just fine since I ground it. Lazy little brats.
