Chia seeds

I am thinking of getting chia seeds from amazon I have some questions first....
1. Can I plant them in the tank?
2. Can I put them in there food bowl without doing anything special to them?
3. Any ideas of how to serve them?
The chia seeds brand is suncore foods it says it is Organic | Gluten Free | Non-GMO | No Preservatives | Raw it also says it has Omega 3-6-9 Fiber will it grow if I plant them? Are they hermit crab safe? Please give me some tips!

Some of the food mixes I buy have chia seeds. They will occasionally sprout little plants if the bowl gets spilled into the substrate. My crabs seem to love eating the fresh baby sprouts so they never get very large lol.

Sometimes if the seeds were heat treated or otherwise processed they may not sprout well but it’s worth a shot. Some garden centers will sell chia or other seeds for sprouting if your stuff doesn’t work.

I decided to not get those seeds. I am going to try to get some from Walmart. Are grass seeds ok for hermit crabs?

I don’t know if they’ll eat grass but if the seeds aren’t treated it’s worth a shot.
