Salmon Skin

Post by DaddyShell » Thu Aug 24, 2006 5:52 pm

Okay, so on a whim I purchased a "roll" of salmon skin (says that it was wild caught Pacific salmon) that was being sold at the pet store as a dog treat. The ingredients say...salmon skin. Nothing else. It appears to have been dried, rolled, packaged, and shipped out.

Think this is hermie-edible?

I would think it would be a decent treat for the hermies. It wouldn't be much different than dried shrimp.

It's really good for them, too. The skin is where all the beneficial fatty acids are. I don't know if they'll like it dry; you might want to wet it a little, but it sounds great!
