HCA: Hermit Crab Association

I read that olive oil is good for hermis. However, how should I prepare them? It said :100% pure olive oil. And made in Italy. Is it safe to use?

I use extra virgin olive oil. I will add a few drops to their dry kibble food, or drizzle it on veggies or seafood.

I also just add it to their food.

Yours says 100% pure olive oil so it is good.

I pour some in a small dish, or a half clam shell and watch them drink it. It's great! I use extra virgin olive oil and even my really fussy ones enjoy it.

I like to sautee things in it. I'll use it to grease a pan and then cook up some egg, brine shrimp, etc. That way they just get traces.
