Tarantula exoskeleton?

Post by Guest » Sat Feb 03, 2007 10:26 pm

My tarantula Fuzzy molted about a week ago and unlike the hermit crabs, she didn't eat the exo. Being that it is full of calcium and doesn't contain anything venemous, can I feed the crabs the exo? The only thing I won't give them are the fangs.

However it does have the irritating hairs doesn't it? I wouln't feed it to the crabs just in case. :) Congrats on the successful T molt!

I would try it. Mine eat snake exo and I'm pretty sure they ate locust exo. It isn't a favorite food, but it gets dragged around a lot so I know they're interested in exo of other animals.

Never thought about that before! I have plenty of spidey skins laying around :)

I may try it and see :)
