Cheese?

What kind of cheese can i give my hermit crabs as a treat once in a while?? Can i give cheddar or what, and does it have to be organic??

Everything for me is organic. I never take any chances.
Cheddar will definitely work.
Remember to offer dairy products only as an occasional treat!

When giving cheese, I always recommend it be either organic or all natural. You don't want any preservatives in the cheese and shy away from the ingredients we know aren't good for the hermits (sugar, salt, et cetera). I'm not sure what types are safe, as I haven't fed them cheese, but I would guess that most are safe.

The reason why it should be organic is because the milk is loaded with hormones and antibiotics, which I'm sure you do not want going into your crabs.
