Begonias?

Does anyone know if begonias are safe for the hermit crabs to eat? I asked this question also at the Epicurean Hermit, and someone said that a source said they are safe for parrots, but have 'minor toxicity' level for dogs and/or humans due to their high oxalate crystal content.....
I know several other high-oxalate foods are ok for hermit crabs (spinich, parsely, and nuts). Has anyone else out there found a source which states definitively if begonias are safe or not?
