I was wondering if you could feed the crabs fish caught from a lake. I live on a lake and we catch tons of fish.

The fish we have today is gar.

And, if I can feed it to them, should I leave it raw, or cook it? (if I cook it, how should I do it)

I feed my hermit crabs raw walleye eyes, and meat. They love the eyes and unless gars excrete poison then they should be okay to feed to your Hermit Crabs raw.

im not sure about gars, mostly because Ive never had the opportunity to feed one. I do feed Rainbow Trout heads (raw) that come from the mountain lakes here and the crabs go nuts.

I'd be careful if you don't know what the lake is treated with. Our neighborhood lake was over treated with copper sulfate, and now there's a posted warning about eating the fish due to health risks.

I have fed mine store bought salmon. (from the actual seafood counter). I took a chunk of raw fish and put it in a food processor to get it all chopped up for them. I'm sure they could eat right off a chunk of fish, but I spoil them quite a bit. I just don't bother cooking fish for them, i figure in the wild no one would have fired up the grill.
