Has anyone ever fed night crawlers to their hermies? I had some left over from a recent fishing trip so I cut one up (yea thats gross but I'm a country girl :) ) & put it in the tat. Well, they absolutly loved it!! They also go crazy for freshly killed meal worms, wax worms & crickets. I'm also wondering about "red wigglers" anyone ever tried those?

Sorry if I grossed anyone out, but at least the left over bait is going to good use

Earthworms are a great source of calcium. I've tried to keep them in the crabitat to help keeping the tank clean, but most species don't do well in a warm/hot envoronment. Red Wrigglers (Eisenia fetida) do pretty well in my crabitat , though.

So you let the worms go live in your tat? Thats kinda cool!
Also I didnt know they were a good source of calcium either, good info to have, thanks!
